Privacy Policy

GigHire Ghana ("we", "us") operates the GigHire Ghana marketplace, which connects event organisers with live musicians in Ghana. For any privacy question you can reach us at gighire1@gmail.com.

Account information. Your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), account type (musician, booker or administrator) and phone number.

Musician profile information. Stage name, biography, instruments, genres, years of experience, pricing, country, region and city, profile and cover photos, performance photos, audio samples, video links and social media links. Musician profiles are public by design, except contact details, which stay hidden until a booking is paid for.

Booking and gig information. Event type, date, times, venue and location, budget, agreed fee, booking status and related history.

Messages. Messages exchanged between bookers and musicians are stored so both parties keep a record of what was agreed, and are automatically screened for contact details shared to bypass the platform.

Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment partner, Paystack. We receive transaction references, amounts, status and, for payouts, the bank or mobile money account name, number and provider you supply. We never store your full card details.

Technical information. Basic log and device data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, used to keep the service secure and working correctly.

To create and manage your account; to display musician profiles publicly; to process booking requests, escrow payments, commissions and payouts; to deliver notifications and service emails according to your preferences; to review musician profiles and verify identity claims; to detect fraud, abuse and attempts to bypass the platform; to resolve disputes; and to comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with: the other party to a confirmed booking (limited to what is needed to perform it, including the musician's phone number once payment is secured); our payment processor Paystack; our hosting, database and email infrastructure providers, who process data on our instructions; and authorities where we are legally required to do so.

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to understand how the site is used. If advertising is displayed on GigHire Ghana, third-party advertising vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit, row-level access rules and role-based permissions so users can only access their own records. We keep your data for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed for financial records, dispute resolution and legal compliance.

You may access and update your profile at any time from your dashboard, adjust your notification preferences, request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account. Some records tied to completed payments must be retained for accounting purposes. To make a request, email gighire1@gmail.com.

GigHire Ghana is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced on the site, and the "last updated" date above will change.
