Terms of Service

GigHire Ghana is a marketplace that connects event organisers ("bookers") with musicians. We provide discovery, messaging and booking management. We do not handle performance payments: the event fee is agreed and paid directly between the booker and the musician. We are not a talent agency, employer or performer, and we are not a party to the performance agreement between a booker and a musician.

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. Each account is one role only: musician, booker or administrator. You are responsible for your login credentials and for all activity on your account. Impersonation, duplicate accounts and false verification claims are prohibited.

Musicians must keep profiles truthful and current, only list instruments and genres they can genuinely perform, honour accepted bookings, arrive on time with agreed equipment and personnel, and communicate promptly about any problem. Accepting a booking and failing to perform may lead to loss of verification and removal from the platform.

Bookers must describe the event accurately (date, times, venue, audience, sound and power arrangements), pay the musician the agreed fee directly and on time, provide safe working conditions, and confirm completion honestly. Any extra performance time must be agreed with the musician and paid directly to them.

A booking begins as a request, becomes an agreement once the musician accepts, and is connected once each side pays its one-off platform access fee. Contact details are released only after the access fee for that side is paid. Until then, all negotiation stays inside GigHire Ghana.

The only money GigHire Ghana collects is a one-off platform access fee per booking, per side, processed by Paystack in Ghana Cedis. It unlocks the other party's contact details. Access fees are charged for access to the connection, not for the performance, and are non-refundable once contact details have been unlocked. GigHire Ghana does not hold, split, escrow or pay out event fees, and takes no commission on any booking.

Sharing phone numbers, emails, social handles or payment details in profiles, gig posts or messages in order to take a booking off-platform is prohibited. Our systems automatically screen for this. Attempting to bypass the access fee forfeits platform support and can result in suspension or permanent removal.

You keep ownership of the photos, audio and video you upload, and grant us a licence to display and promote it on the platform. You must have the rights to everything you upload. Harassment, hate speech, fraud, scraping, reverse engineering and any unlawful use of the platform are prohibited. Reviews must reflect a genuine completed booking.

We may suspend or remove any account that breaches these terms. You may close your account at any time, subject to completing outstanding bookings.

The platform is provided "as is". We do not guarantee the conduct, quality, punctuality or legal compliance of any user, and we are not responsible for event fees agreed or paid directly between users. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability relating to any booking is limited to the access fee we received for that booking.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. We may update them; material changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
